Online Commercial Workshop with NYC CASTING DIRECTOR
BARRY SHAPIRO.
Barry Shapiro owns Herman & Lipson Casting. He has been with Herman & Lipson for over 37 years, casting over 8,000 commercials, both voiceover and on-camera, for products such as L'Oréal, ESPN, Advil, Verizon, Toys R Us, and many other top accounts. He casts commercials worldwide and also for film, television, and theatre.
Barry teaches dynamic online commercial audition techniques classes for kids, teens and adults here at Studio 27 Talent.
Barry’s Coaching Philosophy
My philosophy is not to teach acting but to teach you how to use your acting skills to help you book the job. I focus on helping the student make strong choices that the others auditioning might not think of.
To make their auditions memorable and unique. The idea is that it’s not just about this audition, but helping the student get more auditions.

NOW AUDITIONING FOR OUR WINTER SHOWCASE.
ConnectNYC is our prestigious New York Agent Showcase held in New York in front of top TV, Film, Commercial, Broadway and Fashion Agents. This event is by invitation only and requires an audition to be accepted. This is for actors, singers, dancers and models. Studio 27 Talent intensively trains our actors, consults our parents and adults on breaking into the business of acting and are with them every step of the way. 98% of Studio 27 Talent performers who have gone to ConnectNYC had agent contract offers and are successful working actors in the industry.

Ages 5 and up!
How to prepare:
• Everyone please bring a current photo or headshot with you to leave with us.
•Actors: have a 45 second monologue prepared or we will have a cold read script for you.
• Singers: be prepared to sing 30 seconds of a song acapella.
•Models: Dress comfortably. High Fashion Models please wear heels.
•Dancers: Be prepared to do a 30-45 seconds dance. Bring your own music.
This is a FREE audition and does not have any fees applied to audition.
Studio 27 SPOTLIGHT Showcase…
Our YEAR END AGENT/CASTING DIRECTOR SHOWCASE: All of our current acting students get the opportunity to show their acting skills in front of local talent agents and casting directors. All students must be in attendance in regular, weekly classes for a minimum of 6 months to prepare for this VIP event. Students must have a completed resume and current headshots. Details will be given to all students to be completely prepared for this showcase.

The Singers Circle…
represents a vibrant community of vocal students who are currently training at Studio 27 Talent. These students are focused on learning vocal and performance techniques. This allows each student to be prepared and present in the moment of their performance, offering freedom, power and joy in their musical journey!
Studio 27 Talent is providing an opportunity to support these artist of different levels by inviting them to be a part of our live vocal performances “Singers Circle” for family and friends at the studio! All current vocal students are invited to join us!
Each singer gets allotted performance time. Singers observe, support and learn from each other! Come share and develop your talents on:

Studio 27 Student Showcase…
Our YEAR END STUDENT SHOWCASE: All of our current acting students get the opportunity to show their acting skills to their friends and family while they observe you LIVE in class! Parents will have the opportunity to join you in class to either observe or participate in what it’s like to train as an actor!
