On-Camera Acting, Theatre and Musical Theatre


ON-CAMERA:

Children (Ages 5-7)

This is an introduction to acting on-camera. The uniqueness of this class is the conservatory style actor training that supports fundamental on-camera technique.  The student will be empowered with tools to work effectively on camera. Actors will embark on taking ownership of their craft and personal process.

$99.00 per month
Classes currently offered: Tuesday or Thursday 5:00-6:00pm.

Children (Ages 8-11)

Teens (Ages 12-17)

The uniqueness of this class is the conservatory style actor training that supports fundamental on-camera technique.  The student will be empowered with tools to work effectively on camera. Actors will embark on taking ownership of their craft and personal process.

$185 per month.
Classes currently offered: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, 6:00-8:00pm.  Saturdays 10am - 12pm (beginning March 18th)

Adult  (Ages 18+)

The uniqueness of this class is the conservatory style actor training that supports fundamental on-camera technique.  The student will be empowered with tools to work effectively on camera. Actors will embark on taking ownership of their craft and personal process.

$185 per month.
Adult Acting
Level 1: This is where you want to begin if this is your first time thinking about acting and haven't been to any classes before. 
This is where you will learn the foundations of acting, how to build a character, do cold reads, and learn audition techniques
to garner attention.
Tuesday or Wednesday from 6:00-8:00pm.

Level 2: This class is for those who are more experienced and understand the basics of acting.  Scene study will be intense and a place to grow your characters and work in depth with experienced professionals to expand your horizons both for film and tv.
Wednesday from 6:00-8:00pm. (audition required)

Level 3: For the working actor.  You must be actively working or have credits for your resume, headshots, casting sites and imdb set up.  Get ready and stay ready for the call from a casting director for this group.

MUSICAL THEATRE:

 

Musical Theatre- Live Performance Teams

Ages 5- 12:
Do you live for Musical Theatre? If you’re an aspiring Musical Theatre Singer and/or Actor than this class is for you!!  Studio 27 offers our Musical Theatre, Live Performance Team training and development class with light choreography. Come join a team of performers who will train together for local and public performances throughout the year! Come put your natural gifts and talents to work!!
This class requires an audition and has a limited number of spots. Audition information below.

Due to being a live performance team auditions are required for ages 5-12 and then performer must be accepted into the program. Please reserve your spot to audition by contacting the studio at studio27talent@yahoo.com.

TUITION:
$99 per month
There will be a one time studio fee of $50 per student added at registration.

Mondays:
Kids (ages 5-12) 5pm - 6pm: Group and solo Live performance rehearsals
(Anyone confirmed to sing solos must schedule private vocal and blocking sessions, no exceptions). All classes meet weekly and are broken into two semesters. (with the exception of any scheduled closings and competition rehearsal that will be scheduled as needed) .

1st Semester: August 7th - Dec. 20th (or when we have our last live holiday performance)
Friends and Family performance and celebration: Monday, December 11th from 6-7pm at the studio.

2nd Semester: January 8- May 20th (Musical Theatre Genre)
Do you love to sing? Is musical theatre your life? Do you dream of performing in front of a live audience? Then Studio 27’s Spring Musical Theatre Program is for you! For students ages 5 and up, we offer professional level training and multiple opportunities to perform live throughout the community! Come learn songs from your favorite broadway musicals like Matilda, The Little Mermaid, Hamilton and more! 
2nd Semester Auditions will be Monday, Dec. 11 from 5-6pm, must reserve your spot.
Family performance and celebration: Monday, May 20th friends and from 5-6pm at the studio.

Once accepted, All classes are mandatory as scheduled above since there will be live performances. Performance dates will be announced once we get them. There will be additional fees for costumes if needed.


•Audition Requirements:

Auditions are required for these classes/teams. Please email the studio to reserve your spot at studio27talent@yahoo.com.

Audition requirements:
Kids ages 5-7: Acting- One line of a commercial or monologue that shows their ability.
Song: A verse and a chorus of your favorite song.
Kids ages 8-12: Acting: A simple one minute monologue. Please keep monologues comedic (light and funny).
Song: A verse and a chorus of your favorite song.

During the auditions the coaches will review a short choreographed piece with some simple steps and movement with each person auditioning so come dressed comfortably.

•There will be a mandatory meeting for all performers that have been chosen and their parents to go over all details of the schedule. Date will be announced at auditions.


CANCELLATION POLICY FOR PRIVATE LESSONS: Singing and Acting: Student agrees that all privates must be paid for in advance. Private sessions are to be paid in advance monthly for recurring weekly sessions. Student agrees to provide a minimum 24-hour cancellation notice by telephone or email before the day of the booked private acting and singing to allow for rescheduling within the same month based on availability. Student agrees that in the event they fail to provide the minimum 24-hour notice they forfeit a reschedule of that session and the credit card on file will be charged for the missed session at the standard rate. Student understands that there are no make-up classes for missed sessions. If you have a private session on Monday then your notice needs to be given by the previous Thursday due to studio hours. Any individual private sessions will be paid for at the time of scheduling to reserve your spot.
